Glass Block Solutions was asked to write an integrity report for insurance purposes on a glass block panel that was installed with incorrect rods. Any glass blocks installed near the beach in a mortar system must be installed using stainless steel rods.

The photo shows that the mild steel has rusted away, causing the rods and mortar to expand which puts extra pressure on the glass blocks, thus causing them to crack and leak.

The blocks were removed and reinstalled on a very day, not leaving the property open to the weather.
