ENERGY EFFICIENT

Glass blocks have high thermal insulation values, superior to double glazing and equal to double brick walls. Reduces heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer.

PRIVACY

Glass blocks are perfect for areas requiring light and privacy. They can obscure a neighbour’s view or an unsightly outlook without the need for expensive window treatments.

SOUND INSULATION

Offers excellent sound insulation. The acoustic insulation properties of glass blocks provide a noise reduction of between 40 and 50 decibels, depending on the size of the block

LIGHT TRANSMISSION

Brings light to dark spaces – glass blocks transmit up to 79% of the available light. This is equivalent to normal double glazed windows.

FIRE RESISTANT

Satisfying BCA requirements for fire rating, glass block panels are able to prevent the spread of fire and smoke for a period of sixty minutes or longer, depending on the block used.

SECURITY

With a high level of resistance to human impact, reinforced steel joints and a robust character, glass blocks are an excellent deterrent to burglary and damage.
